Media and the psychopath.

I watched the maddening mob,
their low murmur and heightened wrath;
their skewed sense of justice!

“Filthy slut!”, screamed a mob-face,
and slapped the hapless lass;
and grabbed her ample bosom.

Shrieks went out, then a depressing sob.
She fought for freedom and her scant piece of cloth.
But, their skewed sense of justice!

Paparazzi came by and clicked her face.
“Lights, camera, molest!”;
and the fascists performed.

Libido spiked and her honour was robbed,
by the media and a psychopath.
Oh! The mob, and their skewed sense of justice!

    Really interesting post. I want to know the context, if that isn’t too much to ask.

  2. This one hit a raw nerve.

  3. Please don’t ever watch the video. It will make your blood boil.

    This was a disturbing scene. (But I don’t think your poetry is bad at all!)

  5. Very disturbing indeed!
    Thank you for your thoughts on my poetry:)

  6. I like your ‘bad poetry’, Subh. It’s very readable, especially when the context is understood. Keep it up.

  7. Thank you Jamie. Still waiting for your comment on “A baffling question”.

    i didn’t watch the video that you linked but definitely your words say the wrath and the feelings behind the reason of writing it. Whatever triggered your writing, it raises a strong voice.

  9. Hi 🙂
    It’s not a video link actually. It’s a link to resources that provide exact information about what really transpired.

    I remember that incidence. I didn’t watch the video… never have. Too many people have spoken of the devastation they have suffered after having watched it.
    Sorrow has no depth sometimes. It goes on and on… deeper and deeper.
    The poem was hardly bad. You need to redefine bad.

Let me know what you are thinking. . .
